Lake Louise Retreat Center gives your group the opportunity to grow together in a natural setting with the help of our year-round professional staff. Our center can accommodate groups ranging in size from 30 – 170 guests, and events can run anywhere from 2 hours to full weekends or any number of days within a week.
Our Camp chefs provide meal service year-round, prepared with healthy living and dietary restrictions in mind to make sure you have the energy to tackle your goals.

Don't have a Group but Still Interested?
Lake Louise offers a retreat with multiple opportunities throughout the summer called the Boyne Country Service Project. This is a mission opportunity for youth groups to serve in rural Northern Michigan. Your group will stay and eat at Lake Louise and travel to the local Boyne are throughout the day to work on projects in neighboring communities without charge to partner agencies, communities, or homeowners. Cabins, Lodges & Retreat Centers in a Natural Setting
We offer different types of housing to our guests. Each one serves your group in different ways. Every style of housing is subject to availability depending on when you come to camp for your retreat.
The Lake Louise Retreat Center houses 15 hotel style rooms on two levels complete with linens and towels for our guests. Each level has a community bathroom and private shower area. There are lounges for meetings or relaxation on each level that includes couches, chairs and tables along with large stone fireplaces. The dining hall is housed in the Retreat Center which can be used as a large meeting space for the groups staying here.
The Retreat Center main floor is ADA accessible.
One of the easiest (and coziest) places to meet is part of the modern lodge layout. Both lodges have a common area that comes equipped with couches, tables and chairs, a full sized refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The front covered porch overlooks the beautiful shores of Thumb Lake.
Nestled in the woods, Sheppard Cottage, is ideal for those seeking respite, relaxation, and reconnection. A wood burning fireplace, full kitchen, bathroom with shower, toilet, sink, and laundry, and a cozy bedroom complete this cabin.
Stay at Sheppard Cottage and you are bound to experience the serenity and beauty of Northern Michigan.
Lake Louise Chapels and Gathering Spaces
Lake Louise boasts 2 chapels that can be used for worship or a variety of events. The open air amphitheater located on the shore of Thumb Lake with a fire circle and bench seating for up to 170 people.
Tennant Chapel seats approximately 160 people and has a sound system and piano. Available Spring, Summer, Fall.
Strong Chapel is more intimate and is located in our memorial garden.
Horner Center is a large hall anchored on one end by a stage and a wood burning fireplace on the other. The center hall is flanked by two side rooms – one with a small kitchen and the other a great place for crafts. Available Spring, Summer, Fall.
The Dining Hall in our Retreat Center seats approximately 150 people. A sound system with TV are integrated features and a piano is also available. For groups that would like to use this room for more than dining, it is available for rent provided your group is the only group on-site.
We strive to keep our accommodation rates low to ensure as many people as possible may visit and be blessed through their time at Lake Louise. Therefore, we trust you understand the additional time required by our staff to ensure these buildings are prepared for your group’s use.
Buildings available on a first-come reservation basis when multiple groups are staying. If both group leaders are agreeable, buildings may be shared.
These rates apply to groups who are staying at Lake Louise. If you have an outside group that would like to rent our facilities for the day, please contact us by phone or email.

Rates: Rates are subject to change until Lake Louise receives your signed rental agreement and deposit.
Deposit: A deposit required to confirm your reservation and secure dates. No dates will be held.
Guests participating in an event and staying off-site: A fee will be charged for guests participating in an event at Lake Louise and staying off-site. This fee is in addition to food charges.
Multiple Groups: Lake Louise reserves the right to book more than one group simultaneously, if capacity allows.
Cancellation Policy:
- If cancel prior to 60 days before check-in/event date, 50% of deposit is returned (except for weddings/receptions – deposit is non-refundable).
- If cancel between 30-60 days before check-in, 25% of deposit is returned.
- If cancel within 30 days of check-in, deposit is non-refundable.
- If reschedule within 14 days of check-in, a rescheduling fee will be charged.
Dining
Our food service department provides three well-balanced meals daily. Each meal includes several options aside from the main course, with nutritious, fresh food being a focus. We can accommodate a variety of dietary needs and restrictions – please identify those needs when making your reservation.
Our all-inclusive option includes:
- Buffet style breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
Meals are served at the following times:
- Breakfast 8:00am
- Lunch 12:00pm
- Dinner 5:30pm
Other items to note:
- Our kitchen is a licensed commercial kitchen.
- Packed lunches available, if arranged at time of booking.
- Everyone in your group must participate in the all-inclusive package.
- Reservations required at time of booking. Please mention special dietary needs at this time. Provided advanced notice is given, we work hard to accommodate guest requests.
- No refunds or credits will be issued for uneaten meals.
