Operational Volunteers
Lake Louise Christian Community runs on the extra hands and helpers throughout the Summer. For those who can not commit to week-long volunteer opportunities, we have created a place where individuals may sign up for day shifts to help the staff run smoothly during the Summer
Volunteer Opportunities
Grounds
Help our Facilities Staff with cleaning
- Fridays: Cleaning of chapels, office, and retreat center
- Saturdays: Cleaning cabins and lodges between camp sessions
What to expect: Cleaning of camp facilities will include, but is not limited to, washing windows and mirrors, clearing cobwebs, cleaning showers, toilets, and sinks, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, etc. Almost all work will take place inside. Volunteers will be working alongside a Lake Louise Facilities Staff member and/or a Summer Staff member. Be aware that we will be using standard household cleaning chemicals that some may find to have a strong odor.
What to bring: All cleaning supplies will be provided. Bring a water bottle and wear comfortable shoes. On Saturdays, due to time constraints, we do not stop for a lunch break, so bring a snack if desired.
We ask that you please arrive promptly at the Lake Louise office to check-in with Stacie and receive instruction
Cleaning
Help our Facilities Staff with grounds work on Saturdays between camp sessions.
What to expect: Type of work will include, but is not limited to, mowing, weed whipping, trash removal, leaf blowing, etc. Volunteers will be required to sign a liability waiver upon arrival (waiver is valid for entire 2024 season). In the event of inclement weather, scheduled volunteers will be directly contacted.
What to bring: All equipment will be provided along with hearing and eye protection as needed. For safety, we ask all grounds volunteers to wear long pants and study shoes. Volunteers are asked to provide their own water bottle, sun protection, and work gloves. Due to time constraints on Saturdays between camp sessions, we do not stop to take a lunch break, so bring a snack if desired.
We ask that you arrive promptly at the Lake Louise office to check-in with Stacie and receive instruction.
