Join Lake Louise for Some Family-Friendly Winter Fun
Lake Louise Summer Camp invites the community to join them for a free snowshoeing event on January 14th from 5-8 p.m. Lake Louise Summer Camp operates full time and hosts events year round to ensure the community can benefit from the beauty of Thumb Lake. The hike will follow a lit path through the thick woods alongside the shoreline of the lake. Lake Louise encourages those interested to bring their own pair of snowshoes if possible. For those who do not have a pair of their own, Lake Louise has a limited amount that can be borrowed for the event. If snowshoeing is not possible, either for lack of equipment or physical barriers, grab a pair of snow boots and hike alongside family and friends. The path for this event is beautiful no matter how one makes their way down it. Immediately following the hike, there will be a bonfire for all to attend. Lake Louise encourages you to warm your fingers after the hike and connect with the people around you. The snowshoeing event is a way to ensure people of all ages can be social and have fun during the peak of winter. There is no charge to participate in this event or borrow snowshoes from Lake Louise. Warm beverages and snacks will be available by donations, which all proceeds go to Lake Louise to ensure more community events. For more information visit the Lake Louise website or follow them on Facebook. For any questions, contact Kiera Raymond by email kraymond@lakelouisecommunity.org or call (231) 549-2728.
